We want your landscape installation to be as beautiful and functional not just the day we finish the job, but for many years down the road. To ensure this reality, we go above and
beyond the normal standards.
Below, you will find a few highlights of a standard Elite Design Landscape Installation:
CONCRETE...
- Not all concrete is created equal... We use only the best concrete available from premium suppliers. Many contractors used the cheapest concrete they can find. We have
learned from many years experience that using the best concrete available will provide you with a much more durable finished product.
- We add 3” sleeves under all concrete for future electrical, irrigation and lighting. Many contractors don't have the thought or take the time to install these sleeves, which can
have a dramatic effect on future additions or upgrades to your landscape.
SOD...
- We go the extra mile when installing sod. We take our premium top soil and improve it with a special starter fertilizer. This is a very important step to make sure the sod has plenty
of nutrients. The result is a very thick and healthy lawn. Many contractors just use a standard topsoil with no additional nutrients added.
- We roll over the entire lawn with a weighted roller to ensure a beautiful, long-lasting smooth surface. Many contractors just lay the sod down on an minimally graded,
uneven surface and leave the job site without any thought given to the overall appearance of the finished lawn. We carefully grade your yard and compact it with the roller. We then
lay out each piece of sod and match the joints tightly together to maintain proper moisture control. Once the sod has been installed, we roll over the entire lawn again. Without this
very important step, your lawn will forever have an uneven, bumpy appearance.
PLANTS, TREES, SHRUBS…
- We hand-select each and every plant, tree and shrub for your landscape installation. Unlike many contractors, we take the time to select only the best specimens for your
new landscape. The final result is a very polished, uniform look.
- We use only the best soil mix and mulch for your planter beds. Our premium soil mix is 100% free of weed seeds and is highly rich in organic matter and nutrients. In addition
to our soil mixtures, we use only the best Cedar mulch to top your planter beds. This mulch is the best organic weed control available, and it’s also very aromatic due to it’s high level of
evergreen oils, which make for excellent pest control. Our Cedar mulch stays in place and won't wash away even under harsh weather conditions. Unlike lesser quality mulches, our
Cedar mulch is also very “clean” - it won’t pick up on your shoes, and if you have pets that walk through the planter beds, you don’t need to worry about it being tracked into your
home.
